Marina Ermosa
Community Market CoordinatorA born-and-raised Russian, who spent much of her life exploring sales in pharmaceutical companies, has been involved in work with people, marketing, and a little digital.
After moving to Canada, Marina worked some casual jobs, and now as the Community Market and Volunteer Coordinator for TCE.
Marina can usually be found making sure the people who come to TCE are well fed! Don't hesitate to drop by and say hello!
Susie Fisher
Community Connections CoordinatorSusie’s work is focused on building relationships, supporting community members, and connecting individuals to one another and to valuable resources. She finds joy in helping create community spaces where all are welcome.
Susie is married to local potter, Shaun Dyck. They are parents to Margot, a busy two-year old kiddo. In her spare time (which is few and far between, these days...), Susie enjoys reading, gardening, and film photography.

Kayla loves the work she gets to do everyday at TCE and the people she gets to work with. You can find her mostly behind the computer organizing the daily ongoings of TCE, but her favourite part of her job is getting to connect and build relationships with people in the community.
Kayla and her husband, Kevin, have two energetic boys. She loves spending time coaching and watching her kids activities, exploring new places, and keeping active in various sports.
Sheila Klassen
AccountingSheila does the books for The Community Exchange and is grateful and proud to be part of a team of beautiful people, doing such amazing work for the community.
Outside of her work with TCE, she enjoys having opportunity to be outside in nature and spending time with her family and friends.

Paul brings a strong background in team building, community development, and supporting grassroots initiatives. In his spare time, he loves exploring the outdoors with his 3 kids, photographing wildlife, or surfing any wave he can find.
Known for his collaborative leadership style, Paul is deeply committed to fostering inclusive programming and strengthening local partnerships. With longstanding personal ties to Altona and the Municipality of Rhineland, he is passionate about building vibrant, community‑driven solutions. Paul’s vision and energy continue to guide The Community Exchange toward meaningful and sustainable growth.

Helga loves her work as the Transportation Coordinator. She spends her days organizing and giving rides to residents of Altona. “It feels good knowing I can help people in the community, and I appreciate how thankful they are.”
When Helga’s not working, she likes spending time with her family and friends.

Lisa Peters
CommUNITY Support Team CoordinatorLisa’s work centers around facilitating Wraparound teams for individuals and families in the community. Lisa loves that she has the chance to be part of many different people’s stories, and she enjoys supporting people in making meaningful connections both within themselves and with those around them.
Outside of work, Lisa spends most of her time with family and hanging out with her 3 kids – but she’s also happy to have coffee with a friend or sit down with a good book.
Hesti Steenkamp
Mental Health FacilitatorHesti and her family moved from South Africa to Canada in 2020 and enjoy being part of the Altona community.
Hesti finds great joy in learning, listening, and hearing people share their stories. As a Mental Health Facilitator, Hesti supports people in caring for their mental health—whether through a weekly cooking group or an impromptu cup of coffee.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, good food, and spending time with her husband and two sons.
Diana Wiebe
Mental Health CounsellorDiana works part time as a counsellor with the CommUNITY Program. After years of working in public-facing roles, she now enjoys connecting with people one on one.
In her personal life, Diana loves spending time with family and friends. She is often outdoors and likes to camp, travel or go on other mini adventures. At home, she enjoys quiet time in her backyard, listening to birds and watching the sky.
